The Minister of Finance Senator Martin Dlamini has presented the 2015/16 National budget with emphasis on a strong and resilient economy, macroeconomic stability, private sector competitiveness, expanding trade and industry, agricultural modernisation and enhancing natural resource management.
He says the objective of Government as per the Programme of Action 2013-2018 is to attain real GDP growth of at least 5 percent per year.
His Majesty King Mswati III has implored Government to develop more affordable institutions of higher learning that will maintain high quality standards of education and be decentralised across the Kingdom.
The King was making his Speech from the Throne when officially opening the second session of the 10th Parliament at Lobamba.
Government will intensify efforts of improving the quality of education in the Kingdom.
The Minister for Education and Training Phineas Magagula says since the country has successfully rolled-out Free Primary Education (FPE) to its last phase, it is now focusing on the quality of education.
