Mandate:
The Grain Legume Section promotes the production of grain legumes with the aim of improving the nutritional status and income of the farmers.
Activities:
The Section works on all grain legume crops. The common ones being beans, groundnuts, cowpeas, jugobeans (Bambara nuts), soyabeans and mungbeans.
The Section has only one specialist who is located at Manzini Crop Promotion Offices. The officer works closely with other field extension staff.
