PIGGS PEAK HOSPITAL


About Us

Pigg's Peak Government Hospital is situated in the Northern part of Swaziland, serving a population of approximately 90,000 people, according to the '97 population census. It has a bed capacity of 235 beds, it is the main referral hospital for this population, with 16 clinics and two health centres.

Piggs Peak Hospital is committed in the provision of quality, comprehensive, wholistic curative, preventive, promotive, rehabilitative and social welfare services that are relevant culturally sensitive, socially acceptable and accessible to all.

The Hospital is further committed to the maintenance of a supportive and conducive practice environment and professional advancement for its employees.


Health Care team

The Hospital has 32 Staff Nurses, 25 Nursing Assistants. These are supervised by 4 Nursing Sisters and 1 Matron.

Hermatology, Panasitology, Microbiology - Chemistry, Serology

RADIOLOGY

Ultrasound, General Radiography, HSG - General Radiography including special investigations e.g. I.V.P.,HSG Barium swallow Ba Enema, Barium Enema - Ultrasound : Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Abdominal Scan.

DENTISTRY

 


New Developments: The hospital has been upgraded.

There has been additions to the Hospital's departments, namely Physiotherapy, Orthopaedic workshop, Bio-Med Engineering workshop, X-Ray, 3 Theatres, 64 bed ward + mortuary.


PATIENT INFORTMATION CENTRE

Admission procedures

Patients are admitted through the Ooutpatient Department. They are then referred to the appropriate ward(s) by a doctor.

  • 24 hours, 7 days a week, and on call
