The Minister is the Political Head and a respected figure within the Ministry. He seats in Cabinet and is in charge of the country's National Planning.

The Minister's Office works handy with the Principal Secretary, the Under Secreatary and Chief Economist as well as all other department within the Ministry in delivering the Ministry's mandate. 

The Minister has a Personal Assistant known as Mr. Elliot Gamedze.
