Taiwan Ambassador pays courtesy call to Hon. Minister

Republic of China on Taiwan ambassador to Eswatini His Excellency Jeremy Liang today paid a courtesy call to the Honourable Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Harries Bulunga.

The meeting took place at the Honourable Minister’s office in Mbabane. It was His Excellency Liang’s first visit to the Ministry’s offices. Ideas were shared on possible partnerships mainly around youth issues between the Ministry and the Taiwan Embassy.

Speaking during the meeting, the Honourable Minister thanked Mr. Liang for the visit. “We appreciate the visit Your Excellency and most importantly, we thank your country for all the development initiatives which you have partnered with Eswatini. It is clear that Taiwan is a true friend of Eswatini,” Bulunga said.

Ambassador Liang meanwhile thanked the Government of Eswatini for continuously supporting his country. “We thank the Government of Eswatini for supporting the relations between our two countries. I think this is a beautiful marriage,” Liang said.

Joining the Honourable Minister in the meeting were Principal Secretary in the Ministry Prince Mlayeto, Under Secretary Nhlanhla Motsa, Director of Arts and Culture Phinda Nkosi, Planning Officer Mfanfikile Mabuza, Youth Enterprise Revolving Fund (YERF) CEO Bhekizwe Maziya and Eswatini National Youth Council (ENYC) CEO Makhosami Dlamini.
