Ivory Coast Cultural Attache meets Hon. Minister

Ivory Coast Cultural Attache BC Angama today paid a courtesy call to the Honourable Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Harries Bulunga.

Angama, who is based at the Ivory Coast Embassy in Pretoria, met the Honourable Minister in the company of Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) CEO Stanley Dlamini. The aim of the meeting was to discuss strategies on how cultural exchanges between the two countries can be strengthened.

Speaking during the discussions held at the Honourable Minister’s office in Mbabane, Angama said it was an honour to be in Eswatini.

“I love this country and it is a great honour to meet you Honourable Minister. I discovered Eswatini in 2017 during a Fashion week in Pretoria. It is a good thing for our countries to have formal relations in terms of cultural exchanges,” Angama said.

Making his own remarks, the Honourable Minister thanked Angama for visiting Eswatini.

“We welcome you to our country. Your visit is very important because as a country we value partnerships and we want to form many of these especially with African countries. It is always good to share our cultures so that they get preserved. We also appreciate the platforms you have already provided to some of our artists and we are looking forward to working with you in many other programs,” Bulunga said.

The meeting was also attended by Director of Arts and Culture in the Ministry Phinda Nkosi.
