On Friday, a rousing sendoff was accorded to interns from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology on completing 3 months internship programme on various fields, providing a fitting find to their remarkable stay at the Ministry of Home Affairs. The event mirrored on the Memorandum of Understanding between the university and the Ministry of Home Affairs demostrating cooperation of the institutions. .

The principal Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs Mr Antony Masilela says “the Ministry is happy with the MOU signed with Limkokwing University in that now students come to practice and be equipped not only with technical skills but also with customer care skills”. He advised students to embrace all the skills learned in the institution and try by all means to give exceptional service to the public because ‘Lokwentako utentela wena’.

The student representative Miss Thandeka thanked the Ministry for allowing them an opportunity to be part of the great team though it was not an easy journey but through dedication and team work it was worth it. She says “ with the knowledge that we have gained in the Ministry of Home Affairs, we are keen to go out there and be the best without losing focus but enhance His Majesty’s Vision 2022 of first world status.

Joined by their Lectures, Heads of Department who acted as their mentors and guides, the event was a sendoff to reflect on the students learning, contribution and friendship made while serving in the internship programme.
