The Minister for Home Affairs Her Royal Highness Princess Lindiwe invited Emaswati to pray for peace and stability in an annual all-night Prayer organized by Voice of the Church (VOC) held at Mavuso Trade Centre on Friday.

Princess Lindiwe said  her speech is evidence that Emaswati embrace the true Gospel of Jesus Christ because it is the first public address by Eswatini Government in the year 2020. The Minister read different scriptures in 1Samuel 7:12, Mattew 28:26 and Psalms 86:6-9. The minister assured the gathering that God listens and answer prayers. “As Emaswati let us look to him, worship him at all times because all nations shall bow to him”. She added that the Kingdom of Eswatini Government respects people rights when it comes to worship hence there is freedom of worship to all religions. This is done in observing Section 23 of the constitution of 2005.

Princess Lindiwe mentioned that during the preparations of the gathering, the VOC Director had discussions with His Excellency the Right Honorable Prime Minister who thanked VOC for organizing the prayer and requested the church to pray for:

  1. A divine orchestrated turn around
  2. The will of God to happen in 2020
  3. Effective roll out of the strategic road map
  4. Pray for peace and stability
  5. May God have favor in cabinet and the leaders of the country
  6. May the Eswatini Kingdom be favored by international community.

In conclusion the Princess Lindiwe emphasized that it is very important to incorporate these themes in prayer for the prosperity and growth of the country. “Eswatini needs the presence of God more than ever before”.The Minister was represented by Undersecretary Mr. Anorld Dlamini.  Thousands of Emaswati from all corners of the Kingdom attended the prayer.
