Senator Peter Bhembe sworn in as Minister for Natural Resources and Energy.

"His Majesty has entrusted us with the responsibility to turn around the Eswatini economy, to foster unity of purpose and to leave no one behind towards attaining Vision 2022. We are called upon to shape the destiny of our country, to shine a light on sustainable development and to uplift the living standards of emaSwati through an all-inclusive, resilient and vibrant economy." These were the remarks made by the Hon. Prime Minister  Mr. Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini during the swearing-in ceremony of Cabinet Ministers at the Cabinet Offices today. Attorney General Sifiso Mashampu Khumalo directed the swearing in of all the cabinet Ministers.

The Prime Ministe reminded all Cabinet  Ministers on the need and importance of respecting and showing true allegiance to the Authorities of the Kingdom, the National Constitution and all emaSwati across the regions of the great nation. "The challenge is undoubtedly tough, the road looks rugged and steep and some may doubt the resolve of emaSwati to harness the endless opportunities at our disposal in the midst of an ailing economy. But no challenge is insurmountable, no path laden with unbreakable barriers." He further encouraged the Ministers. These colorful event also saw the swearing-in of the Hon. Minister for Natural Resources and Energy Senator Peter Bhembe. Senator Bhembe was sworn in alongside other cabinet Ministers. 

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy is honoured to have Senator Bhembe as Minister. Senator  Peter Bhembe  is former Managing Director  of Eswatini Water Services Cooperation (EWSC) and he has served the cooperation for many years as he joined EWSC as Managing Director in 1995. It is worth mentioning that EWSC is also a government parastatal for the very same Ministry. Previously he was Engineering Manager at Swaziland Breweries. Minister Bhembe has also held the position of Engineering Manager at GENCO (South Africa) and Emaswati Coal Mine (Swaziland). He is a member of the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE); the International Water Association (IWA) and the IWA Strategic Council.

HND (Electrical Engineering); BEng (Electrical Engineering); MSAIEE; PGD (Human Resource Mngt)
