MINISTER  ATTENDS A CONFERENCE IN ABIDJAN, COTE D’IVORE

 The Minister for Home Affairs Her Royal Highness (HRH) Princess Lindiwe attends an International Conference on Boarders Protection and Control as well as the International Security and Defence Exhibition. The Conference is hosted in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivore from January 21st-24th 2019. Ministers from neighboring countries in the Republic of South Africa and Mozambique as well as other African states are expected to meet and share expertise on boarder control and protection strategies.

Under the theme “A strong Africa in a Globalised world requires open, secured and controlled boarders through modern technologies and proven equipment, the Kingdom of Eswatini under the Ministry for Home Affairs intend to focus on the aspect of modern technologies and proven equipments. In this regard, over 25 countries are expected to show-case global security and boarder control solutions in the exhibition thus providing the country an opportunity to identify robust integrated Immigration system to protect Eswatini territories.

The Minister is accompanied by Acting Chief Immigration Officer Makhosi Simelane, whom is pivotal in advising the Minister on issues of maintaining an effective immigration control system.
