Swaziland intends to first enter the of Bio- Technology industry through food processing before proceeding to cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, according to Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) Minister, Winnie Magagula, at the India- Africa Science and Technology Conference in New Delhi, India on March 2, 2012.

 

She further noted that building innovation mechanisms would require co-operation and learning from countries that have already experienced the platform provided by the India- Africa Science and Technology Co-operation. Swaziland will soon award a tender for the development of a Science and Technology Centre, having concluded the Line of Credit Agreement with the Export Import Bank of India in 2011.
