To acquire a Personalised Number Plate will one have to pay a total amount of E2000.00 (Two thousand Emalangeni). The procedure to issue the personalised motor vehicle number plate is derived from the Road Traffic Regulations (Amendment) Notice 2009 (Under Section 103).

- Collect application form from the Road Transportation Department (RTD) office number 14. (To be available for downloading soon).
- The applicant may choose any letter or number or combination of both to make a maximum of six characters to make a personal plate; the last two characters shall always be SD (Swaziland), to denote the country in which the vehicle is registered.
- Submit filled form to the RTD office number 14, accompanied with an Electronic receipt for a payment of E200.00 from the Revenue Office which is the application fee.
- The form shall be sent to the personalized motor vehicle number plate committee for review.
- Applicant shall then be notified of the application status, through telephone.
- If approved the applicant is required to pay the allocation fee of E1800.00 at the Revenue Office .
- Applicant must present the proof of payment to the RTB Office (number 14) and will also surrender the valid licensing disk as well as the blue book of the previous registration to assume the personalised number.
- The applicant shall then be handed the personalized number or name upon surrender of the above mentioned.
NOTE: ALL THE QUOTED AMOUNTS ARE TRUE AND CORRECT AS AT 2 JUNE 2014 AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE FROM TIME TO TIME.
