The Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development Hon. Mduduzi Dlamini has encouraged Swazis to keep their communities and living environment clean ahead and beyond the upcoming 2016 SADC Summit.

Hon. Dlamini was speaking during a "Clean Up" campaign at Lobamba Inkhundla where community members joined efforts with Government and Swaziland Environment Authority officials to keep the constituency clean. These campaigns are being conducted in all the four regions of the country. The Hon. Minister said such initiatives should not be limited only when there was an upcoming event but should be a daily practice.

“It prides me to be part of a Government which takes environment affairs very seriously. Government successfully enacted the Litter Regulation in 2011. The Act provides for serious fines on individuals found littering and since the enactment of the Law, we have seen great improvement in cleanliness,” said the Hon. Minister.

He commended Lobamba as one resourceful place in the country that pulls people together for respective cultural, historical and cultural events and overemphasized the importance of keeping it clean.
