Required from Swazis requiring International Passport

  1. 1.Original Birth Certificate

  3. 3.E150.00 payable in all Government Revenue Offices

  5. 5.Letter from host or nominating organization /company
  6. 6.Proof of means at applicant’s disposal for proposed visit

TYPES OF PASSPORTS ISSUED BY THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS AND IMMIGRATION IN THE KINGDOM OF ESWATINI

Travel Document
This document is only issued to Swazi Citizens (either through birth, kukhonta, registration or otherwise) and can only be used within all Southern African Countries Sovereign States besidesAngola which requires and International passport upon entry or exit.

International Passport
This document is issued to all Swazi Citizens who intend using it when traveling to other countries besides those within SADC region.

Service Passport
It is issued to Swazi Citizens who do not qualify for diplomatic passport, however are assigned to travel abroad for official and/or government related purposes.

Diplomatic passport
It is issued to members of the identified Members of the Royal Family, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Cabinet Ministers, House of Assembly members, Senators, Head judges of the judicial organs and their deputies. Spouses of the diplomatic holders would be required to only use such when accompanying the primary passport holders and same applies to children of diplomatic passport holders who would only be required to use such when accompanying the primary passport holder.

MORE PASSPORTS & CORRESPONDING REQUIREMENTS

  • Regular Passports
    Regular Swazi passports are issued to Swazi applicants who are 16 years old and older. They are valid for 10 years and are renewable. When Swazi passports expire, spoiled or lost new passport applications will have to be filed and the applicants would be required to pay the stipulated payments stipulated in government’s regulations.

 

  • Child Passports
    Child passports are issued to children who are fifteen years and below. They are valid for two years and these passports are renewable. On their expiry, applications for new passports will have to be filed.

  Emergency Passports

 

  • Temporary passports for IMMIGRANTS INTENDING TO TRAVEL TO OR VIA THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA have been phased out.
  • They are currently issued in emergencies for immigrants intending to travel to or via The Republic of Mozambique.
  • They are also issued in cases which cover but not conclusive to death or sickness.
  • Vacation is not considered an emergency. Proof of emergency will be required.
  • Temporary passports are not accepted by some countries. It is the responsibility of the traveler to inquire with the countries to be visited before applying for a temporary passport. The Embassy/Consulate accepts no liability in this regard.
