The Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration under the Civil Registration has unchanged its operations and methodologies in the registering of citizens and immigrants born and living Kingdom of Swaziland.
This includes the registering of proceedings such as birth, death, stillbirth, marriage and civil partnership is a legal requirement. These registrations are an integral part of identity documentation, providing a certificate to support further personal applications, for example, for passports and other related registration activities. The headquarters of the civil registration centres in the Kingdom is working directly with its regional substations which are a successful story of the government’s decentralization drive.
Disrict Registrars found in all the substations liaise frequently with the office of the Registrar General on the operations of the regional level. The Ministry of Home Affairs through Civil Registration department is proud to provide guidance on all related registration matters, including changes, corrections, and overseas events, to Their Majesties, the public, Registrars, authorized persons, local authorities, Ministers, MPs and government officials.
