BACKGROUND

Born at Nkhaba in Mbabane on 6 June 1953.  Grew up at Nkhaba and completed his Primary Education at Nkhaba Nazarene Primary School.  Attended and completed his Secondary education at Ntfonjeni Secondary School. Attended and completed his 'O' Level education at Mater Dorolosa High School in 1975. Joined the Umbutfo Swaziland Defence Force (USDF) in 1977. Married with three children.

Attended an Officer Cadet Training Course at the Armed Forces Training College (AFTC) Lanet, Kenya in 1979. Attended a Platoon Commanders Course at the School of Infantry Isiolo, Kenya. Attended a National Development Course at the Fu Hsing Kang College, Taiwan in 1981.  Attended a Joint Services Staff Course at AFTC, Kenya in 1982.  Attended a Certificate in Administration Course at SIMPA, Mbabane 1984. Attended a Sub Unit Command Course at the School of Infantry Isiolo, Kenya in 1985.  Attended a Battle Handling Course at the Army Battle School Lohatla, RSA in 1989.  Attended a Law of Armed Conflict Course at the Defence Staff College, Zimbabwe 1990. Attended a course on Legal Aspects in Peacekeeping in the RSA in 1991.  Attended a Grade 2 Staff Course at the Defence Staff College Karen, Kenya in 1993.  Attended an Introduction to Peacekeeping and Human Rights Course in the RSA in 1996.  Attended a Defence Management Programme in Swaziland and a Defence Resource Management Course in the University of Wits Waters Rand, RSA in 1998.  Attended a UN Logistic Course in Nairobi, Kenya in 1998.  Attended a UN Peacekeeping Commanders Course at the RPTC, Harare in 1999.  Took part in Exercise Blue Crane at Lohatla, RSA, as Battalion Umpire in 1999.
