MINISTER TOURS BHUNYA ROADS

 Minister for Public Works and Transport, Ps. Lindiwe Dlamini on the 15th June 2016 visited LaMgabhi (Bhunya) to assess the constituency’s road infrastructure. This was part of the ministers tours constituencies to have a first-hand account on the state of the road infrastructure at constituency level.


Most of the communities visited by the Minister have similar needs, which is regravelling and construction of low level crossings. The Minister was in the company of Member of Parliament (MP) Sicelo Jele and senior roads officials who includes; Chief Roads Engineer Vincent Dlamini, Senior Roads Engineer Linda Magagula, and other officials from the roads department.


During the tour, the Minister visited the following areas; Ngwenyameni, LaMgabhi, Ngogola, Dvudvusini and Ngungunyane under eNdzabeni community.


The Minister highlighted that it is the Ministry’s plan that all roads leading to institutions providing basic services (schools, hospitals, churches) should be easily accessible to communities. It is also the Ministry’s mandate that roads leading to these institutions are also be properly maintained.
