JAPAN PROVIDES MEDICAL EQUIPMENT FOR FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19

The Ministry of Economic Planning and Development is pleased to announce that it has received a grant of E15.3 million from the Government of Japan to procure medical equipment to enhance the capacity of our health system to fight the Corona Virus.

Medical equipment to be purchased for the Ministry of Health through this grant includes Defibrillators and Blood gas analysers, among others.

The grant was signed in Pretoria by the Ambassador of Japan to Eswatini Mr Norio Maruyama and a representative of our Embassy in the Republic of South Africa, Ms. Nomalungelo Magagula.

We are honoured to note that the technical cooperation between our two countries has mutually benefitted our citizens over the years, with our Kingdom achieving a number of socioeconomic development milestones especially in education, health and food security.
