The Road Safety Council, is rebranding itself, and calls upon everyone with a creative mind to enter a Logo Design and Slogan Competition. A reward of E3, 000 shall be conferred to the one whose logo shall be selected the winner. An amount of E1, 500 shall as well be set aside for the best Slogan or Tag line to be used to market road safety.
The Road Safety Council is a body mandated to promote road safety, set up a Road Safety Fund, guide Government and the public on road safety, as well as initiate road safety measures / interventions to improve road safety for all, among other things.
The Council exists within the Ministry of Public Works and Transport’s whose vision is “To be a World Class provider of public infrastructure and transport systems by the year 2022 and beyond”. All Logo design and Slogan competition entries should be postmarked or electronically submitted by no later than:

Guidelines to the Logo Design and Slogan Competition 2019
- Road safety aims to warn road users of dangers on the use of the road. The logo must be bordered by the warning sign type of border. The border of warning signs is red.
- The design of the logo must be scalable, eligible in smaller (e.g. business card) and larger (poster format) sizes. Aspect ratio of the logo should be square.
- The logo must utilise 2 colours; the Red of the border and any other colour of the National Flag of the designers choice (Yellow or Blue).
- The logo must also be transmittable as a whole, e.g. be a picture format.
- Any text to be written on the logo should be sans-serif type (e.g. Calibri, or Arial).

The Road Safety Council Secretariat’s Organising Committee reserves the right to revise the 1st place entry logo design in order to fit different formats.
