Minister of Information, Communications and Technology (ICT), Winnie Magagula, says facilities now available at the American Corner of the Mbabane Public Library would expose users to new ways of accessing information. At the official launch on February 24, 2012  the Minister noted that the computers, internet, electronic databases and other reading materials would also expose the public to various e-resources.

United States Ambassador to Swaziland, Earl Irving, emphasized that American Corners helped to maintain open dialogue and build bridges of understanding between the host country and the United States. This is the second facility in Swaziland after one was established in Nhlangano in 2004. The Ambassador noted that the increase helped to expand its successful relationship with the Swaziland National Library Services even further. Nomsa Mkhwanazi, Director of the Swaziland National Library Services, observed that there was a correlation between the inauguration of these facilities and the increase of library patronage. Users had increased from 2532 members in 2004 to 5490 in 2011. She encouraged the Swazi public to use this facility and assured access to all their information needs.
