Minister for Public Works and Transport, Ps. Lindiwe Dlamini on the 15th June visited LaMgabhi (Bhunya) to assess the constituency’s road infrastructure. This was part of the minister’s tours of constituencies to have a first-hand account on the state of the road infrastructure at constituency level.
Most of the communities visited by the Minister have similar needs, which is re-gravelling and construction of low level crossings. The Minister was in the company of Member of Parliament (MP) Sicelo Jele and senior roads officials who include Chief Roads Engineer Vincent Dlamini, Senior Roads Engineer Linda Magagula.
During the tour, the Minister visited the following areas; Ngwenyameni, LaMgabhi, Ngogodla, Dvudvusini, kaLuhleko, Nhlangeni and Ngungunyane under eNdzabeni community.
The Minister highlighted that it is the Ministry’s plan that all roads leading to institutions providing basic services (schools, hospitals, churches) should be easily accessible to communities. It is also the Ministry’s mandate that roads leading to these institutions are also properly maintained.
