His Majesty King Mswati III has commissioned National Debates on governance and the socio-economic evolution of the country with a view to pool ideas about the country’s future from the nation.
Monday was a commissioning indaba for the debates dubbed “Peoples Parliament” starting Tuesday 7th June through Thursday 9th June 2012.Fields of interest include governance, economic growth and job creation.
This is a platform for every Swazi, irrespective of political affiliation, religion, colour, gender or creed to air their views about the future of the country economically, politically, socially and otherwise.
Throngs of Swazis from the country’s four regions converged at Ludzidzini Royal residence to take part in a similar exercise which proved crucial and key during the drafting stages of the national Constitution completed in 2005.
