Today is not an occasion for speeches but for enjoying the splendid array of entertainment that has been prepared for the last day of the 2012 Swaziland International Trade Fair in celebration of a job well done.
It is also fitting that the last day of a successful event that has shaped the growth of Swazi businesses for many years recognizes and awards the excellence that I have personally witnessed in the exhibition stands.
To this end, I take this opportunity to thank all those who have contributed to the success of this event. Furthermore, may I acknowledge the presence of foreign visitors in our midst who have found the Swaziland International Trade Fair an ideal platform to showcase their products. I would like to urge them to continue to be our Ambassadors in their respective countries in keeping with our desire as a nation to project this great Kingdom as a New Promise for Africa.
Today is a day for celebration particularly for those who will be awarded certificates of excellence in different categories. However, to those participants who will miss out on the prizes, I want to say to say that they are also winners in the making. They should not give-up but put more effort in future; maybe just a little bit more.
In conclusion, may I commend all our sponsors for their generous funding of the Swaziland International Trade Fair 2012. His Majesty’s Government is encouraged by the public-private partnership opportunity that such events as the Swaziland International Trade Fair provide. In this regard, I urge others to partner with us even in the coming years.
It is my honour now to remind you of the indicative dates for the Swaziland International Trade Fair 2013, which are, the last week of August and the first week of September. Mark these dates in your business calendars and the exact dates shall be communicated to you in due course.
I wish you all safe travel to your respective homes and may I now declare the Swaziland International Trade Fair 2012 officially closed.
Thank you.
