The Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Hon. Hlobsile Ndlovu has announced the appointment of a new Arts and Culture Council Board.

 

The new Board stands as follows;

 

Mrs Busie Simelane                     -         Chairperson

 

Mr Mphosi Mamba                      -         Member

 

Mr Johannes Manikela                 -         Member

 

Mr Musa Ndzabandzaba              -         Member

 

Mrs Zodwa Ngwenya                   -         Member

 

Mr Phinda Nkhosi                        -         Member

 

Mr Stanely Dlamini                      -         Secretary of the Board

 

The Minister reminded the new Board that their core responsibility is to facilitate the promotion and preservation of culture, at the same time creating an enabling environment for the general public to participate in cultural development.  

 

She congratulated the outgoing Board for an exceptional performance while still in office under the leadership of Prince Lonkhonkhelo. The achievements of the previous board include;

 

• Formulate Policy
• Initiated Tihlabani Awards
• Regulation of key sectors in the field
