The National dialogue was opened and closed by His Majesty King Mswati 111 who urged the nation to come up with lasting solutions to the country’s current fiscal challenges. The King emphasized that this solution should be home grown and implementable.
He stated that the National Smart partnership dialogue is not just a window dressing platform but forum where Swazis sincerely come together to discuss social, economic and political issues and no one is barred from attending. He said those that claim to be denied an opportunity to voice their opinions are only out to tarnish the country’s good image as they voluntarily stay away from the set platforms.
Recommendations raised at the dialogue will be consolidated and submitted to all concerned Ministries to form part of Ministerial Performance Targets and Action Plans.
