The Hon. Prime Minister Dr Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini has hailed the introduction of a fruit production programme in communities, saying it goes beyond meeting personal needs but gives the rural population an opportunity to generate income without having to migrate to an urban environment.
The Prime Minister was speaking at a round table donors conference for National Integrated Tinkhundla Fruit Tree Development Programme held at Esibayeni Lodge in Matsapha. The end product will also be used to produce other fruit products like fruit juices, jam and others.
